Microsoft is collaborating with Discord to link Xbox Live profiles

Microsoft has recently announced to collaborate with the popular gaming app Discord. This collaboration will let Xbox Live profiles to appear within Discord profiles, which allows the consoles and PC gamers to find mates more easily.

Discord, the gaming app already supports numerous social network connections like Facebook, Twitter, Steam, and Skype. The console can directly connect their Discord profile with Xbox One owners and PC players can to do the similar thing with the Discord App.

Xbox Live party chat and Discord audio chat wouldn’t be connected to the alliance is not just confined to profiles but beyond that. Discord users will be able to enjoy new features like they can check on Xbox Live friend’s games which they are playing at the moment.

To connect or link your Accounts and to share your Xbox Live game presence across Discord, which let your friends and other users in the same to know about the game you’re playing on the moment, follow the steps as listed below-

  • From Xbox One

Very soon Xbox Insider is going to launch and will be a part of Xbox community. So, over there you can very easily link your Xbox Live account, through the added option to your Discord account directly through Xbox One.

  • Open the ‘Account Settings’ menu on Xbox One.
  • Select ‘Linked Social Accounts

Please note- Here you are going to see a new option for linking your Discord Account. Open the Discord App after you have received the unique code from the Xbox. Enter the code inside the Connections tab.

  • From PC

In the upcoming weeks, you are going to see new option to link your Xbox Account with the Discord Account, while surfing through the Discord app on PC or mobile device.

  • Under User Settings, through the Connection tab, link the Xbox account with Discord Account.
  • Log-in to your account after selecting the Xbox Live option.
  • Both the accounts of yours will be connected after the enabling the permission.
